Deadline to apply is April 30, 2026.
The scholarship fund was established in 2026 by the Tri-State Manufacturing Association (TSMA) in response to a need identified by the Tri-State manufacturing business community. It is TSMA's goal to actively engage and build collaboration among manufacturing, education, and students.
According to a recent post by the National Association of Manufacturers, the manufacturing industry will have 3.8 million new manufacturing positions expected by 2034. The average annual earnings for manufacturing employees nationwide is $98,846. Meanwhile, nearly half of those jobs do not require a four-year college degree or the debt that often comes with it.
Through this scholarship program, TSMA aims to encourage and support students who are interested in pursuing careers in manufacturing and the skilled trades. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors or current students who plan to pursue education or training in a manufacturing-related field. 2 - 4 year and certificate programs are eligible.
By investing in the next generation of skilled workers, TSMA and its member companies hope to strengthen the regional workforce pipeline and highlight the many rewarding, high-tech, and well-paying career opportunities available in modern manufacturing.
